Letter From Debbie

Hello Everybody;

Cassandra is a very lucky girl. She has the coolest parents on the planet.

Perhaps it's because dad played his way through the 80s, but they have opened up their home to a teenage girl's band, and their daughter is the drummer.

This was great fun for all of us as we stretched our imaginations to the limit trying to be 'cool' and 'awesome'.

There was plenty of help from the band and dozens of friends -- a handful to supervise, but worth every minute.

Getting the kids involved may be a struggle at first, but soon their innate talents come out and the results are brilliant.

The Penny Lane band in motion mural and the CD picture frames are projects you all can do.

The wild acid yellow we chose for the walls is a difficult colour to live with, but perfect for play -- and that's what this space is all about.

To keep mom sane and focused on her work, the home office space is separated by a movable partition, and the walls are a soothing shade of blue.

Letter From The Cassandra

Dear Debbie;

First I would like to thank you for giving me the best basement EVER!! Thank you for giving me such a crazy surprise. When i was spending the weekend with my cousin Shelley downtown, you and your crew were re-doing my whole basement. You got all my friends together and my family and neighbours to help out also! When I got home I wasn't expecting something as wild as this. It was such a shock and I am so happy with the results.

You decorated my basement with a rock n roll theme and it matches my personality exactly! My band practices here every weekend and it's so great to have a basement that we can really rock in. All my friends and family said they had such a blast helping out too.

I love the colours and furniture and accessories. My band got to play on the show and it was great when your crew starting jamming. Everything is so perfect. This was such a GREAT experience and it was the best surprise ever!! THANK YOU so much to you and your crew!
