Letter From Debbie

Hi Everybody;

Can you imagine still living at home in your twenties? In my day you were ëout the doorí as soon as you could whether it was for college or to get a job. Not anymore. Times have changed.

So many twenty-somethings are staying at home mostly because of the escalating cost of going-it- alone. In this episode, three out of four of Tina and Pasqualeís kids are still under their roof.

Laura (their oldest daughter) lives around the corner with her husband and son. Gino, the only son, was about to get married and flee the nest when he contacted us.

He begged us to help him offer a final gift to his beloved sisters. Imma and Andriana had shared a tiny bedroom in their parents home all their lives.

Ginoís plan was to hand over his childhood pad to one of them, and The Facelift Team would make both these outdated bedrooms into cool living spaces for the young women.

While Gino was on his honeymoon the girls unsuspectingly went to stay with relatives after being told that the floors at home were being varnished (big lie of course).

Over 4 days we transformed two childhood rooms into the most amazing spaces that fit each girlís personality perfectly.

Letter From The Sisters

Dear Debbie;

Only days after my brother's wedding, my sister and I arrived home from a mini-vacation where we took the time to relax from the preparation and the many emotions that came with the wedding. As we walked up the stairs to our front door we were shocked to see Debbie Travis sitting on our balcony reading the newspaper. Our hearts started pounding with excitement. Our first thought was "Is she here for us?" And as she walked us in, it suddenly became real, Debbie Travis was in our home and she was here to surprise us with our new rooms. Finally after 23 years my sister and I get our OWN rooms!!!

At the first glimpse of our new rooms, we become speechless. They are absolutely gorgeous and fit our styles perfectly. My Moroccan theme room is beautiful. The transformation of my furniture was unbelievable; it went from bland to stunning. I LOVE MY ROOM! I love the reaction I get when people come over and peek to see what it looks like. I finally have a room where I can kick back and relax in style.

As for my sister Andriana's room, she loved the mural done by the famous Jim, and the whole soft theme of her room. She now has a new place to lounge and some MORE space to move in. She never realized how big her room was until now.

We couldn't believe that all of this was done in four days and that our entire family and friends were involved in the transformation. My family is still talking about the great time they had with the whole crew. They have apparently become our extended family.

Thank you for all the hard work and for giving us the best present ever! This was an experience that we will never forget.
